Talk through your situation

Negotiation training for managers

Your managers learn how to prepare, what to say and how to hold a position while keeping working relationships intact.

Plan training for your team

Cross-border and multinational negotiations

For employers whose negotiations, Works Councils or union campaigns span more than one country across the UK, Europe or Asia.

Discuss a cross-border issue

I also advise on union recognition claims, union access claims and global union campaigns.

Not sure if this is the kind of issue I take on? Call me and we'll find out.

Who you'll be working with

When unions and Works Councils come to the table, I make sure you arrive prepared.

I'm Andy Cook, and I work for employers. When a union or Works Council raises a claim, I help you decide what you're trying to achieve and how to get there.

That means strategy and tactics. The bigger picture of your employee relations, and the detail of each negotiation. I work with multinational and domestic organisations, and I train the managers who carry the negotiation day to day.

Questions I'm often asked

The things employers usually want to know before picking up the phone.

Do you only work for employers?

Yes. I advise and train employers, HR Directors, Chief People Officers, Chief Executives and General Counsel, and the management teams who negotiate for them.

Can you help if a recognition or access claim has already arrived?

Yes. Call me, tell me what has arrived and where things stand, and we'll work out your next steps together.

Do you work with organisations outside the UK?

Yes. I work with multinational and domestic employers, with advice and training across the UK, Europe and Asia.

Can training be delivered for a management team across different countries?

Yes. I deliver practical negotiation training for management teams in more than one country, built around the people and situations your team actually faces.

What should I have ready before we speak?

Just an outline of who's involved, what's been raised and what you need from the outcome. Any letters or claims you've received are useful, but you don't need them to start.

Not sure where to start? Call me and we'll talk it through.
